For families looking for a non-expensive day out over the summer holidays, Chipping Sodbury high street could have the answer.

Chipping Sodbury's Chamber of Commerce have announced the launch of their 2020 Sodbury Safari Search

After the roaring success of last years Dinosaur Search they have announced from July 18, they will be holding a similar search this year, with safari animals.

There will be over 30 animals in the windows of Chipping Sodbury retailers and businesses and children should uses their trail map to identify the names and locations of the animals.

The trail map will give all of the names for children to tick off as they find the animals. At the end of the safari the map will have one name left and to be in with a chance of winning one of the handmade animals, entrants should send in that missing name, by September 7.

The animals have all been handmade by local toy maker "The Purple Saurus" based in Hatherell's Yard.

Michelle Baden-Daintree, one of the Chamber chairs said:

"We are really pleased to be able to announce this positive news. We really hope the children will enjoy doing the search this year and the town will benefit from the extra footfall

To ensure compliance with social distancing guidelines, people are asked not to touch the windows of the retailers and to ensure their group is no more than six people.

Trail maps will be available to print on-line from MySodbury.co.uk and from the centre pages of the August edition of The Boundary Magazine.
