A STROUD police inspector has moved onto pastures new.
Inspector Sarah Blake, who led the team in Stroud, is joining Gloucestershire's mounted police section.
Gloucestershire reintroduced their equine police department in 2016 after it had been disbanded 70 years previously.
A farewell do was held for Insp Blake yesterday, with youth leaders, district council, local councillors and business leaders all showing up for her socially distancing send off.
Kevin Cranston, mayor of Stroud summed the inspector up with the words: “Friendly, approachable and passionate about Stroud”.
Insp Blake said: "I am very privileged to have worked with such a fantastic team of people who give many hours of their own time to support the constabulary. I look forward to continuing working with the Stroud team in my new role."
