An image showing how Thornbury High Street could look in the future has been shared on the day changes to the road closure were announced.
The picture shows grassy areas with benches in what has been described as 'an example of what might be possible in Thornbury'.
South Gloucestershire Council today announced further changes to the high street, which has been closed to traffic since June 8.
Traders have continually expressed concerns over the last four weeks, although it has been now confirmed that a consultation will take place next month.
A post on the South Gloucestershire Council StreetCare Facebook page stated: "A full consultation for the scheme will start in August where we'll also be asking for views on the future of the High Street.
"We've been exploring possibilities and come up with an example of what might be possible in Thornbury."
