Lance Vick, chairman of Tetbury Flower Show would like to say following a recent meeting: “We’re sorry to say we have to cancel what would have been our last show due to Covid-19.
“With such a small committee we find it would be too much to organise all the new restrictions.
“We of course would have liked to have had a nice show to finish.
“After about 45 years, I have decided along with Sheila our treasurer and Judith our secretary, to call it a day.
“We will have a final meeting in January to see if anyone will come forward to take the show on.”
On behalf of Tetbury Lance, thank you to you, your committee and your volunteers who for many years have brought us the brightest day of our summers, even when the weather didn’t!
We all know someone who has come back off their summer holiday just to attend this great day.
I’m sure that people will come forward to preserve this part of Tetbury’s history. So, if anyone would be interested in getting involved in preserving a part of Tetbury history please contact Lance on 01666 502993 or email captainlancevick@gmail.com.
