Dear Sir, whilst agreeing the senseless death of Mr Floyd in America was outrageous, I'm concerned about the protests in England during the current Covid19 pandemic. I was flabbergasted that Gloucestershire Police failed to intervene during the peaceful protest outside the Sub Rooms on Saturday. It was impossible for the hundreds gathered to observe social distancing and the fact that Boris Johnson said only groups of six are permitted, then the law is clearly being broken.

In a nutshell, the protesters will have to wrestle with their consciousness if we see a spike in cases, which I expect will become a reality.
