Chedworth news by David Broad

A VAN was broken into last week in Chedworth outside the owner’s home at around 2am in the morning.

The owner, his family and a neighbour chased the thieves away but a considerable amount of tools and machines were taken including chainsaws, leaf blowers, cordless drills etc.

If you’re offered tools cheaply without any provenance, maybe inform the police on 101 crime number CR/16235/20.

Please be aware and keep valuable tools locked away safely.

FOSSECROSS tip has re-opened to pre-booked visits only and is proving so popular it is proving difficult to book a visit.

Fly tipping has thankfully reduced but could increase again if the rationing of visits continues.

CHEDWORTH WI, The Village Hall Committee and the parish council have all resorted to holding their meetings by Zoom due to the lockdown.

THE Village is slowly coming back to life with tennis being played again, while the Seven Tuns, phone number 720360 has been offering drive thru meals, and the “Chedworth’s got talent?” event scheduled for September 26 is still on at least provisionally.
