Swindon Lions Club has helped the Prospect Hospice by donating £1,680 to pay for face masks.

The club has helped Prospect several times over the years and felt that it needed more help than ever before because of the current crisis.

The hospice launched an urgent £2 million appeal to help see it through the lockdown and plug a funding gap.

Members of the Swindon Lions Club are not meeting in person right now but they still regularly keep in touch and discuss any welfare requests they receive.

Chair Maurice Watson said: "At this time, they are prevented from their involvement in the community and fund raising activities. Although the club funds are limited, we will assess all requests received. If you wish to know more about Swindon Lions, please see our website www.swindonlions.org"
