A GREEN space on Beechcroft Road could be removed to add space for an extra lane as part of the Moonrakers roundabout renovations.
Stratton St Margaret Parish Council intends to dispose of the land parcel opposite the Moonrakers pub because Swindon Borough Council has applied for the surrender of the parish's 99-year lease on the site.
The council intends to use the space in its plans to change the Cricklade Road and Beechcroft Road junctions later this year.
Currently, the land is covered in grass and footpaths but it could become part of a widened road.
Any person wishing to make representations on these proposed leases should do so in writing and to address it to Tracy Predeth (Clerk), Stratton St Margaret Parish Council, Meadowcroft Community Centre, Addison Crescent, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN2 7JX.
This correspondence must arrive by the close of business at 5pm on Monday June 15.
A copy of the Land at Beechcroft Road plan can be viewed on the parish council's website or requested from the clerk by writing to the same address, emailing info@strattonstmargaret.gov.uk
