Despite the still-chilly nights, many Cirencester people will tell you it’s not really summer until the Cirencester open air pool opens in May.
This year summer is already here but the pool opening is delayed by the virus lockdown.
The pool which celebrates its 150 year anniversary this year will open as soon as it can I’m assured.
The danger might be different now, but when it was opened in 1870 it was considered to be a risky place to visit as few people could actually swim in Cirencester.
