A POLICE helicopter was called to help search for the driver of a car who failed to stop for police in the Cotswolds last night.
Shortly before 9pm, a vehicle failed to stop for a police officer conducting speed checks on the A417 near Cirencester which led to a pursuit.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "The vehicle eventually stopped and the driver fled the scene.
"The subsequent search included the services of a police search dog and a helicopter from the National Police Air Service but the man was not located.
"Officers searched the vehicle and found a number of cannabis plants inside which have now been seized.
"An investigation is now under way and anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary quoting incident 448 of May 20."
