SUPERMARKET giant Lidl has confirmed its planned re-opening for its Cirencester store has been delayed because of coronavirus.

The store in Love Lane closed at the end of February for an extension and full refurbishment, which will see the improvement of the shop-floor and sales area.

Additionally, the extension will include improved employee welfare facilities, a new entrance lobby, new trolley bay and improved disabled and parent with child parking bays.

Lidl planned to re-open the store tomorrow (May 21), but a spokesman has confirmed that the re-opening has been pushed back.

Details of the new date will be made available soon.
