Thank the people who have given you a helping hand through the coronavirus crisis on BBC Radio Gloucestershire today.

The "day of gratitude" is a chance for you to show your appreciation on-air for loved ones, neighbours, NHS staff and other everyday heroes.

Simply call, text or tweet BBC Radio Gloucestershire with your thank you.

Station editor Tim Pemberton said: “This has been a difficult time for many and there’s no doubt it would have been all the harder without friends, family and volunteers going the extra mile.

“We are dedicating the whole of Friday to a day of gratitude thanking those who have done so much.

“So please, tune in tomorrow to hear just how generous our county has been.”

Some thank you notes have already been gathered by the team at BBC Radio Gloucestershire, ready to be read out throughout the day.

Grace and her children Reuben and Meridon, from Cheltenham, said: “We’d like to say thank you to our friend Matty, also known as DJ Grit, because he’s doing virtual discos for us every Friday and we get to see our friends and be cheered up by doing funny dancing and silly faces. So thank you Matty – you really cheer up our Friday.”
