Just prior to the present shutdown, I was foolish enough to dislocate my hip. This was done by sitting on the bed, reaching down to the floor on my left and picking something off the floor. Wham!! My Wife rang 111 and I had an Ambulance within 20 minutes. Two wonderful chaps soon had me tranquilised and down the stairs into the Ambulance. Arrival at Gloucester Royal was greeted with the emergency hall full of patients in chairs and on beds. What looked like chaos soon changed when I was moved to a side room.Examined.XRayed.Put to sleep.Manipulated.Woken up and after another X-Ray, sent home. The whole experience having taken some six hours. The attention I received, the care and consideration, the gentle humour made the experience so relaxing. We are so lucky to have a wonderful NHS.
Thank you all
