Bus passengers with concessionary passes in Gloucestershire will be able to travel across the county during the morning rush hour due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Concessionary pass holders usually pay full adult fare to travel before 9.30am.

But peak time restrictions were lifted for Gloucestershire’s older and disabled residents on Monday to coincide with supermarkets’ new ringfenced shopping periods for those most vulnerable to Covid-19.

Those with concessionary passes would usually have to pay full adult fare to travel during the morning rush hour.

The Government is advising against non-essential travel, and urging people to vary travel times to avoid the busiest times on public transport.
