AN evening of debate and questions has been organised by Chippenham Lib Dems as an Australian Bushfire Fundraiser for the Australian Red Cross and WWF.
Ed Sawyer, local party organiser for the Liberal Democrats, said: “The evening aims to address the hidden barriers to climate action and to consider ways individuals, government and big business can overcome them.
“The event will take the format of a debate, chaired by former parliamentary candidate, Helen Belcher and bring together a diverse panel of speakers, from academics to representatives of Extinction Rebellion and local business with the opportunity for the general public to make points and ask questions.
“Issues that will be covered include: personal lifestyle changes, Wiltshire Council's climate emergency declaration and how big business and corporations need to take a lead on climate action.”
The event will take place on March 9 at Sheldon School Sixth Form Centre
