Over 20 pupils from Lechlade Primary School were given a lesson in making and tossing pancakes at The Riverside Inn on Shrove Tuesday.
St Lawrence Primary School were invited down to the Arkell’s Brewery pub by manager Charlie Hill and chef Varinia Robson for a cooking demonstration.
Manager Charlie said: “Pancake Day, Shrove Tuesday, is officially the start of Lent and the build up to Easter so there is plenty for the children to look forward to.
“Our chef wanted to show the children how to make pancakes and then they got to choose their filling and toppings.
"I will go for a traditional one of lemon and sugar; I am not sure about all of these really sweet alternatives.”
