The owners and staff of The Kings Head Inn in Bledington have three reasons to celebrate after picking up three gongs.

The pub, on the Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire border was recognised by The Good Pub Guide as National Inn of the Year, County Dining Pub of the Year for Gloucestershire and given further special recognition for being in The Good Beer Guide for their reputable ale for 20 years.

It is a huge achievement for husband and wife team Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing as well as their dedicated team.

“This is a stunning area; we are close to Kingham and Stow on-the-Wold and are surrounded by the amazing Cotswold countryside that gives us such great ingredients for our kitchen team,” said owner Archie.

“A lot of our meat is sourced locally as well as our vegetables.

"We are lucky to be surrounded by so many great farms and producers, we had some great lamb brought in the other day that went straight onto the specials board as well as being used in a starter of a Harissa scotch egg with puy lentils, feta cheese and a spicy chipotle mayo.

“We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved here as a team and are grateful to everyone who continues to come and visit us and enjoy our food, beer, bedrooms and hospitality.”

The couples other pub, The Swan Inn in Swinbrook, has also recently been awarded Oxfordshire Dining Pub of the Year also by The Good Pub Guide.
