Regular readers will know that, each Christmas, Cainscross Co-op hosts the Cainscross Carol Singers, as we bring a little festive cheer to the store, and collect money for local charities.
We have been singing at the Co-op every Christmas, ever since the store opened, more than 30 years ago!
Co-op shoppers are always very generous - but this year they surpassed themselves.
A total of £264.70 was raised, and will be given to two local charities - Meningitis Now and CLIC.
Many thanks to the Cainscross Co-op customers, staff and management, for your generosity!
Of course, we would like to be back at Cainscross again, next Christmas; we very much hope that the store will still be open (despite last week’s headlines)! It’s a greatly-valued local amenity.
