AN award-winning production Ben Hur has announced its cast.

The comedy playwright by Patrick Barlow won the Olivier award and is now being performed at Cirencester’s The Barn Theatre.

Joseph O’Malley has returned to direct again at the theatre after his previous play The 39 Steps was a hit in 2019.

Its now cast the Great Expectations star James Dinsmore as Edgar T Chesterfield.

Liam Horrigan as Daniel Veil, Devarnie Lothian as Omar Lord and Bronte Tadman as Crystal Singer.

This stage adaptation of the 11-time Academy award-winning 1959 film will be pulling up the curtain on March 4.

A production filled with chariot races, sea battles and stage combat.

This will make it the third time Joseph will produce a show at The Barn who will be bringing Ben Hur to life.

Audiences will get to enjoy the amazing costumes made by Penn O’Gara and the set design by Justin Williams.

It will be running until April 18 this year at the theatre at Beeches Road.
