A warning has been issue after dustbins and furniture have ended up on roads in the Malmesbury area.

Storm Ciara has resulted in winds of up to 60mph and caused a number of trees to fall across the area.

A post on Facebook by Malmesbury Police stated: "With storm Ciara blowing a gale out there, please remember to keep an eye on your wheelie bins and other loose/light items that you may have outside your home.

"Officers are responding to a number of reports of bins, recycling boxes and garden furniture ending up in the roadway!

"Officers would also like to thank members of the public who have assisted with cutting up and removing downed trees throughout the county.

"Stay safe on the roads and remember that conditions may change suddenly in exposed areas."
