A two-day music festival that was due to be taking place in Yate later this year has been cancelled.

The Good Times Music Festival was due to take place at Yate Town Football Club in May of this year, however organisers have had to call off the event.

The organisers cited ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

In a statement, the organisers said: “It is with deep regret that we are cancelling the planned music festival at Yate Town Football Club.

“There has been brilliant support from the local community and we are truly grateful but a series of unforeseen circumstances have meant that we can’t deliver what we had promised in time for May 2020.

“We hope to be back with a bang in the future.

“Everyone that bought tickets has been sent an email and is being automatically refunded back to their original payment method, thanks the festival committee.”

The festival had been supported well by the community, with a number of tickets being sold.

Organisers hope to be back in the future.
