Cirencester Male Voice Choir has appointed a new accompanist.

Anne-Marie Humphries has already performed with the choir at their first event of the year, a military dinner.

Anne-Marie is an accomplished musician who has played the piano since the age of six.

She has also performed on cello and clarinet in a variety of ensembles and sung at St. Paul's cathedral and Notre-Dame, Paris.

Having studied at the University of Sheffield she took a PGCE teaching at Bristol University Graduate School. She taught music in secondary schools in Bristol and Gloucestershire and is currently Head of Department at Churchdown School Academy.

The Choir's next performance be at Cirencester Baptist Church on February 19. The Southampton Youth Sinfonia and South Cerney jazz choir The Blue Notes will also perform.

Music from Elgar to the Pirates of the Caribbean will feature.
