A HOTEL on the Jurassic Coast has been named one of the most family-friendly in the country.

Moonfleet Manor Hotel at Fleet near Weymouth has been ranked by the AA as one of the most friendly for families under the category of luxury family hotels, offering the full suite of services measured by the organisation.

It is the only one in Dorset to appear in the list.

Moonfleet Manor Hotel said it prides itself on its family-friendly atmosphere.

Its facilities include an Ofsted-registered crèche, a baby-listening system linked to reception, a range of equipment including cots, changing mats, nappy bins, and a separate baby pool described as a 'safe space for parents and little ones to have a dip together'.

General Manager Neil Carter said the hotel "has been helping families create memories together for over 20 years and is always looking at ways in which we can ensure families have a fantastic experience staying with us".

He added: “We are delighted to be one of the AA’s list of top hotels in the UK for family friendly trips. This is wonderful recognition of the all of the hard work and commitment of the team at the hotel.”

Devon is said to be the county with the most family-friendly hotels outside of London, with 25 hotels offering facilities and services.
