Celebrated chef Bob Parkinson is returning to the kitchen but in a different venue for a one off pop-up night next Friday.

Bob left Made By Bob, in Cirencester, after 10 years at the stove in March 2019.

He was followed by his kitchen team of chef’s Sam Edwards and Jak Doggett, who went onto successfully set up at The Firehouse in Upton, near Burford.

The award winning chef has taken a break from the kitchen, helping his family’s business but has been convinced by Sam and Jak to return and showcase what he does best.

“It is great to have him back and be working with him again,” Jak Doggett said.

“Bob worked all over London, including Bibendum before setting up in the Cotswolds.

"He taught us both so much and this has really helped us when setting up at The Firehouse.”

The evening is a six course set dinner with delights such as grilled belly of pork and langoustine with clam’s, Asian style peppers, bean sprouts and yam tawai or grilled fillet of lemon sole with baby gem, prosciutto and truffle.

“The Firehouse is open for lunch every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we have a Pizza Night on a Wednesday but we want to add something different to our dining calendar so are going to host a special Friday every month and are delighted that our first one will be with Bob,” Sam Edwards added.

“Our February one on February 28 will be with charity night with Circus Sauce of Giffords Circus and will include some special acts – so watch this space.”
