A NEW library service will be trialled in Northleach later this month.
The six-month trial comes after the mobile library service in the Cotswolds was scaled back last year.
Books will be available to borrow from the Black Cat community cafe from 2.30-3.30pm on the fourth Thursday of the month, beginning on January 23.
Rob Platts, chair of Northleach with Eastington Town Council said: "You can view books that are here, you can return books that you've taken out previously, you can look on an iPad and you can order books to pick up the next month.
"Everything you can do in an ordinary library you can do here."
Paul Hodgkinson, county councillor for Bourton-on-the-Water and Northleach, said it was a 'use it or lose it' situation.
"We've got six months to make this work. Let's make use of this fabulous facility not only to get books but have a nice cup of coffee and some socialising too," he said.
