A SCHOOL reunion is being organised for former pupils of Stroud High School.

The reunion is being held for the girls who left the school in 1986, and out of 131 ex-students, there are now only 20 left to confirm attendance to complete a full reunion.

One of the school's former students, Amanda, is hoping that all the girls who were in her school year will be able to attend.

She said: "Approximately six months ago one of the pupils from the class of 1986 posted a picture on facebook which enabled a few of us to make contact again.

"From this we felt that it would be really exciting if we could find more of us and another post was put on Facebook suggesting a reunion.

"Since this post, it has snowballed and we are really hoping to find the missing 20.

"2020 is also a significant year as we will all be reaching the milestone age of 50."

The event is going to be held on Saturday, February 29 with some of the ex-pupils not having seen each other since their last day of school in 1986.

Amanda said there are ex-pupils coming different locations around the world, including one flying from New York, another from Ireland, one from Scotland, one from France and some from Cornwall and Devon, as well as some who still live in Stroud and Gloucestershire.

Anyone interested in attending the event should email Amanda on amandagoodwin70@hotmail.com.
