A DRIVER has been charged after failing to provide a specimen for police.

Police received a call from a motorist who had their suspicions about the driver of a Ford Focus heading south towards Cirencester on the A429 at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.

Thanks to the caller, officers were able to stop the car in town.

The driver, a 23-year-old man from Cheltenham, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

He was later charged with failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis at a police station and will be in court on January 10.
