He is due to appear in court next month
A 25-year-old man has been charged with assaulting two emergency workers.
At 7pm on Friday evening, officers were called to a reported disturbance at an address in South Cerney.
The man was arrested on suspicion of being Drunk and Disorderly.
During the arrest, he allegedly punched one officer in the face and spat in the face of the other attending officer.
Neither officer suffered lasting injury.
The man was taken to custody where he was charged with assaulting two emergency workers and being drunk and disorderly.
He is due to appear in court on January 9.
