A 66-YEAR-OLD man has been given a community order after he was found guilty of assaulting two people and damaging a hotel window in Tetbury.
Gerard Brooke, of New Inn Lane, Avening, was found guilty of three offences when he appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on November 26.
The court heard how on April 17 this year, Brooke damaged a window at The Snooty Fox Hotel in Tetbury to the value of £225 before assaulting a man and woman.
Magistrates banned Brooke from entering The Snooty Fox Hotel for nine months until August 25, 2020.
He was fined £300, ordered to pay the hotel compensation of £225, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £85 and pay costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Brooke was also ordered to pay further compensation to the male victim of £100.
