FAIRFORD and Lechlade Business Club has announced that ‘The Lakes by yoo’ has agreed to be the headline sponsor for the club’s business awards for the fourth year running.

The 850 acre private estate, which has featured on television programmes such as; The X Factor, Celebrity Hunted and Made in Chelsea, has long been a member of the business club and supports the communities and local businesses around Fairford and Lechlade.

With the club supporting businesses across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire, the competition is open not only to club members (in any postcode area), but also to non-members in the postcode areas: GL7, GL54, SN6, SN7 or OX18.

Chris Roberts, founding member of the Business Club, said: “Each year the number of entries grows and we introduced an online entry system last year, which we will adopt again this time.

“It makes the whole process much easier and more professional.”

Voting is now open for the Bob Warren Hospitality Award, which encourages you to vote for your three favourite venues that best demonstrate the spirit of Bob Warren, the late landlord of The Trout Inn, Lechlade.

Which, includes: great hospitality, excellent customer service, a warm and friendly atmosphere and provides a fantastic all-round experience.

A winner for the Howard Dowler Award will be chosen by Helen Webb, the chair of the business club and presented to the member or business that has made an outstanding contribution to the local community.

The awards dinner, will be held on Saturday, January 25 at Sudbury House Hotel, Faringdon, and will feature the popular awards auction with fabulous lots, auctioned off by TV personality, Philip Allwood of Moore Allen & Innocent, who has appeared on many television shows in his career.

Our compere will be Gary Holland, former Mayor of Lechlade and a Director of Lechlade Festival.
