CHRISTMAS well and truly got under way in Malmesbury on Friday, as the town turned out for the annual Late Night Christmas Shopping event.
Pop-up stalls lined the High Street as residents turned out in their hundreds to soak up the festive fun.
Charities and community groups joined the traders at the late night market, providing attendees with a golden opportunity to learn more about what is going on in the town.
Malmesbury mayor Julie Exton said: "It was absolutely brilliant, so many of the community came out to enjoy late night shopping.
"Big thank you to all the volunteers who make the event happen each year.
"The cake tin came first in the window display competition.
"Mirror mirror came second and French grey came third."
