Cirencester Male Voice Choir's 10th anniversary concert has raised £1,500 for charity.

The recent concert held in the Cirencester Parish Church was one of their most successful events to date.

Money raised will go towards the Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC).

The charity provides emotional and financial support for patients receiving intensive chemotherapy.

Claire Charlton, head of fundraising at LINC was presented the cheque by chairman of the choir Mark Pratley and concert secretary Tony Golics .

"The money will go towards funding a LINC research nurse that helps local leukaemia patients onto clinical trials which will hopefully improve their treatment outcomes." Claire said.

"It was a really enjoyable and successful evening.

"My thanks to everyone involved who supported the event and made this donation possible."

The choir will be performing again as part of Cirencester Band Christmas Cracker event on December 13 in Cirencester Parish Church and will also be among the cast of the MJ-UK Christmas Spectacular in the Bingham Hall on December 15.

In addition they will also perform at the Tesco Kingsmeadow store in the afternoon of December 22 to raise funds for charity, and the on same evening, members will join in the parish church nine lessons and carols service which starts at 6pm.
