A Landrover has been stolen in a burglary in Middle Chedworth.

Thieves forced open a wooden framed window at the rear of the house before taking the keys to the Landrover overnight on Wednesday.

Cirencester Sergeant Garrett Gloyn has offered a wide variety of security options for people to consider to make their homes safer.

Sergeant Gloyn recommends window locks, indoor lights on times switches, double or deadbolts fitted to doors and exterior lights on sensors.

He said: "I would also ask you to think about where you keep your car keys.

"Please try not to leave keys to 4x4 type or performance cars in plain sight.

"If you would like your local Police Community Support Officer to visit your home and provide a free crime reduction survey then please let me know.

"The burglary is likely to have been perpetrated by at least two offenders and we would like to hear from residents who witnessed anything or anyone suspicious in the area."
