Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with an incident on the M5 last month in which a sandbag was thrown at a lorry, smashing the window and narrowly missing the driver.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire police said: "The incident happened shortly before 11pm on Thursday October 31 on the southbound carriageway near to junction 9 for Tewkesbury.
"The lorry driver was shocked but not physically injured and managed to steer his vehicle to a safe place.
"The two boys, both aged 16 and from the Tewkesbury area, were arrested yesterday morning (Tuesday November 19) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to cause criminal damage recklessly to endanger life.
"They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue."
