A BRAVE member of staff at a Cirencester opticians had his leg waxed, helping to raise more than £100 for Children in Need.

Store director and optometrist, Simran Sangha, who works at Specsavers on Cricklade Street, gritted his teeth to get through the pain and support the charity which raises money to help disadvantaged children and young people across the country.

The team also hosted a bake sale to help boost the fundraising total further.

"It certainly isn’t an experience I’d like to repeat!" said Simran.

"But it was for a good cause so I was glad to be able to show my support.

"I hope August, who did the waxing, didn’t take too much pleasure in it!

"I’d like to say thank you to all our customers who made a donation and helped us raise much needed funds for Children in Need.’"
