As the festive season approaches, Tetbury Lions have been presented with an amazing fundraising opportunity.

Thanks to the exceptional generosity of local residents Geoff and Jeanette Turbott, and the support of Dan Bailey building contractors and staff at Miller Homes, the club has been given as many rooted non drop Christmas trees as it can manage.

All that is required is for the club to dig them up, put them into pots and sell them.

As the trees will be for sale ready planted, they can immediately be placed anywhere; a porch, patio, balcony, or a special place indoors.

The trees vary in size from approximately two feet to four feet and should prove easy to prepare for distribution and collection.

There is plenty of scope for growth which means these beautiful trees are sustainable and will last for several years if looked after.

There is also something very special about this opportunity for Tetbury Lions as it is likely to raise significant funds which can be used to benefit individuals, groups and organisations in town at a time when need is often at its greatest.

The trees are priced at between £10 and £15 depending on size and will be available from the Tetbury Goods Shed and the Miller Homes site, London Road, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, GL8 8GX on November 30 and December 7.
