Police are warning pub staff and pub goers of a suspected fraudulent charity worker in Cirencester.
Yesterday, police received a number of complaints of a person collecting for charities in and around pubs in the town.
According to reports, the person wore fancy dress as they went from pub to pub asking for donations for well known charities.
A Gloucestershire police spokesman said: "When they have been challenged to show identification they have then run away.
"Police recommend you ask to see the collectors identification before giving a donation to make sure your money is going to a worthwhile cause.
"Police have the registration of a vehicle seen leaving with the fake charity workers and will be speaking to the registered owner."
