North Cotswolds Rotary, in association with The Royal British Legion, will once again be holding a Christmas Charity Band Concert.
The rotary club has raised money this year for the Great Western Air Ambulance, North Cotswold Community Awareness, Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, and Endometriosis UK, and with this concert the local branch of The Royal British Legion will be added to the list.
35 members of The Waterloo Band & Bugles of The Rifles, lead by The Director of Music, Major Lawrence Sale BA (Mus) will be performing at the concert.
They last performed in the village for the VC Commemoration in November 2018.
The evening promises to enter into the Christmas spirit with seasonal music, the singing of carols, and plenty of fun.
Starting at 7.30pm, there will be an interval where mince pies will be served by staff from Brio Retirement Homes, whose generous sponsorship has made the staging of this festive concert possible.
There will be a bar and raffle prizes, and the evening will end at around 9.30pm.
The concert will take place on December 14, at The Cotswold School, Bourton-on-the-Water.
Tickets are £12 for adults and £8 for those 16 and under, and are available at the Visitor Information Centre, Victoria Street, Bourton-on-the-Water, open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
Tickets may be available on the night if not already sold out, so the advice is book early for what has always proved to be a popular pre-Christmas event in the past.
