A popular road in Cirencester will temporary close for one week to allow for resurfacing works.
Siddington Road is being resurfaced as part of Gloucestershire County Council’s £150m investment into the county’s roads.
It will be closed from Friday, November 8, to Thursday, November 14, between the hours of 7am and 7pm excluding weekends.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire County Council said: "In accordance with the temporary traffic order, we are not permitted to allow any person or vehicle to proceed along the closed roads, with the exception of pedestrian access to properties, emergency vehicles, and statutory undertakers responding to an emergency situation.
"Therefore, if you normally drive into or out of this area during the hours when the road closure is in place, we ask you to please make alternative arrangements."
A closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
