I’m writing to urge Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown to step down as Conservative candidate for The Cotswolds.

Sir Geoffrey has failed to represent the views of his constituents who voted to remain in the EU in the 2016 referendum.

He has sided with the hard Brexiteers and offered no reason for doing so other than furthering his career in the Tory Party.

I have written to Sir Geoffrey several times and when he did deign to reply he trotted out the party line and failed to address my concerns over the damage Brexit would do to our country.

Also Sir Geoffrey has only maintained a token presence in the Cotswolds preferring his Norfolk estate.

Now is the time to make way for a local person who really cares about the future of the Cotswolds and the United Kingdom.
