A SECOND life-saving defibrillator have been installed in Hullavington.

The defibrillator has been installed at Hullavington Garage, made possible by a £1,500 donation from the Malmesbury League of Friends, with Hullavington Parish Council covering the remainder of the cost.

The installation of the defibrillator was carried out by Tim Cundick free of charge.

On Thursday, October 31, MLOF chairman David Hide visited the village to perform the official handover.

He said: “We are delighted to have helped towards the installation of a defibrillator in Hullavington. We’d like to hear from any other local parish councils who do not currently have one.”

Maggie Bawden, chair of Hullavington Parish Council, said: “We are very grateful to have received this help from MLOF in placing this life-saving facility in the village.”

Garage owner Paul Girn who allowed the defibrillator to be sited at the garage is also covering the cost of electricity.

A training course will be arranged for January 2020 and everyone in the village is invited to attend.

Any queries regarding the defibrillator should be addressed to councillors Kevin Tillotson and Mary Cundick.
