The MP for the Cotswolds, Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown seems to have gone very quiet since the beginning of October, even by his modest standards.

So I’m wondering if, after his unfortunate contretemps with Conservative party conference security staff - which also, I hear, involved armed police - and his subsequent removal from said conference, we can expect an announcement soon that he will not be standing as the Cotswolds MP again.

I believe that the degree of hypocrisy he displayed on that occasion more than warrants his standing down.

He will, of course, know that more than fifty of his fellow MPs are standing down, including at leat 24 Tories. Time to join them and call it a day, perhaps? Please!
