Plans are afoot to build a new car park above the current Waterloo Car Park.
Opposite is the three story high Hythe House part of the Bromford Flats development.
This is 11 metres high and some residents have health problems.
We are now told by Mark Harris who is heading the planning team for the new multi storey CAR(BUNCLE) car park that this will tower way above these flats perhaps by as much as seven meters.
In addition we have the problem of pollution from cars queuing to get in and out of the car park and the Waterloo at the traffic lights at London Road.
I suggest at certain times of day these may well back up way beyond the island on the London Road and what about Dyer Street, Victoria Road and Lewis Lane traffic backing up.
We then have the cost estimates from planning say eleven million and rising.
