A LECHLADE pub has pulled off a cracker of a new pizza topping, made up of turkey, cranberry and sprouts.
The festive offering is now available at The Riverside Inn, two and a half months before Christmas.
“Many might think this is bizarre option but I think it is actually quite nice,” explained Riverside manager Will Rowe.
“We mix sweet with meat quite a lot in cooking and this is no different, the sprouts are par boiled and then roasted so add a great earthy flavour to the dish.”
Pizza has become a pub favourite at Arkells Brewery Lechlade pub, over the summer the Pizza Shed that sits in the garden was open serving the visitors and now they have introduced pizza nights on Monday and Thursdays as well as a take away service for the town.
“Our new menu has gone down really well with customers but the pizzas are proving ever popular.
"I am hoping the Christmas Pizza will be a winner, a perfect slice of the festive season,” Will added.
