Three crashes took place on the southbound carriageway of the A419 within 30 minutes of each other.

At 2.30pm yesterday, there was a crash between a car and a broken-down lorry at Blunsdon. Nobody was injured. 

Another crash occured between a car and a lorry in a similar location at 2.45pm, one person was treated at the scene and then transported to hospital for further care. 

The third incident at 3pm was an overturned van which has closed the southbound carriageway of the A419. 

Two people were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further care. One had serious injuries.

The carriageway was closed to the junction for Honda South until around 9pm.
