The Midcounties Co-operative Funeralcare in Cirencester has raised more than £400 for charity.

Cirencester’s Funeralcare hosted a coffee morning and a tea and cake sale on September 27 at Watermoor House to raise money for its Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraiser.

Residents were invited to take part in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

The coffee morning, which in 2018 raised over £26 million nationwide, began in 1990 and has since gained national support from communities across the UK.

In its 29 years of running, coffee morning has raised over £200 million for the Macmillan charity.

Jason Timms, funeralcare sector manager at The Midcounties Co-operative Funeralcare said: “Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day and helped us raise money to support those living with cancer.

"It was lovely to see the local community come together and enjoy themselves, all for a good cause.

"The turnout was great, and the colleagues are really pleased with the fantastic results.”
