From jewellery, jumpers and decorations to jams, chutneys, cheese and wine, there really will be something for everyone at Rodmarton’s new Christmas fair next month.

Father Christmas and his elves will also be calling in to the exciting shopping event which takes place at Rodmarton Village Hall from 2pm until 5pm on Saturday, November 30.

Organiser Philly Herbert, who lives in Rodmarton, said: “We have so many amazing stalls with loads of Christmas gifts.

"Lots of local businesses will be there including Chalford’s Lavender Bakehouse, Moke Fine Wines from Coates, Woefuldane Organic Dairy, and Equiboodle which is based near South Cerney.

“It will be a great opportunity to start - or finish - your Christmas shopping!

"There will be stalls selling organic beauty products, candles, wrapping paper, knitwear, cakes, prints, silk flowers, and homewares and much, much, more.”

Entry is just £1 – children get in for free - and there will be free cups of tea and squash, as well as Christmas crepes, mince pies and mulled wine on sale.

Payment is by cash or cheque only and there is plenty of free parking in the village hall car park.

Philly added: “Father Christmas and his elves will be calling in to the fair between 3pm and 4pm, and pupils and teachers from Rodmarton Primary School will also be selling crafts and lanterns.

“After the fair there will be a lantern-lit procession from the hall up to the village green to turn on the village’s Christmas tree lights.

"Avening Silver Band will be joining us and we will kick off the Christmas season by singing Christmas carols around the tree.

"It’s a really lovely occasion and a great way to get into the festive spirit.”

Rodmarton Christmas Fair is in aid of St Peter’s Church in Rodmarton and St Osmund’s Chapel in Tarlton.
