Actor and TV presenter Matthew Kelly will be making an exclusive appearance at the Barn Theatre next month.
Dominic Cotter of Radio Gloucestershire will be compering the evening and getting some detailed insight into Matthew’s distinguished career.
Having been trained as a theatre actor, Matthew first came to public prominence as a television presenter of ITV light entertainment shows such as Game for a Laugh, You Bet! and Stars in Their Eyes.
In the 2000s he returned to acting, appearing in several West End productions, while also acting in some television roles.
His theatre career included playing the original Stanley in Funny Peculiar – a role he created at the Liverpool Everyman.
He has been on stage with Sir Ian McKellan in Waiting For Godot, appeared in Tim Firth’s Sign of the Times, the musical Lend Me A Tenor! and as Lennie in Of Mice and Men at the Savoy Theatre for which his performance won him an Olivier Award for Best Actor.
Tickets for the event taking place on Sunday, November 17 are £25 per person and are available from today.
