These photos show the injuries suffered by a man who claims he was attacked by three teenagers and stabbed in Cirencester Abbey Grounds.

Jason Stratford said he was in the Abbey Grounds when he was attacked by the teens who attempted to stab him in the back, but his thick jacket protected him.

He said he was later taken to hospital to get his face glued, following the incident yesterday afternoon.

Jason said: "They tried to kill me the way they tried to stab me."

A post on Facebook regarding the attack has been shared more than 700 times.

A Gloucestershire police spokesman said: "At 4.35pm on Tuesday, October 8 police received a third party report that a man had suffered injuries following an incident earlier that day on Abbey Grounds.

"The victim was slashed in the face and hand with a sharp object after approaching three young males. He went to hospital and the superficial wounds were glued.

"A further report described one of the teenage boys as being aged around 17 or 18-years-old, quite tall and was wearing black joggers, Nike trainers and a flat cap.

"Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 and reference incident 301 of October 8."
