Two men have been charged after a car was stolen from Sherston earlier this year.
On July 20 a brown Mitsubishi pick-up truck was seen towing a white VW Golf through the centre of the village.
An altercation followed which led to John Hunter, 52, and Michael O'Driscoll, 41, both of Hudson Road, Malmesbury being arrested.
They have both been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, common assault and driving without insurance.
Hunter has also been charged with driving without a licence, racially aggravated public order offences against a detention officer in custody and a police officer while in hospital.
They will both appear at Swindon Magistrates' Court on October 23.
